St. Valentine´s muffins


A few things say I love you and I care about you like food. These chocolate chips muffins are a great idea for Valentin´s day. You can put a card in them like in some of the pictures and send a message or pack them in a nice bag. This recipe makes about 24 muffins. So use this date to tell someone you love them, and what better way than to cook them comething special!


  • 2  ¾ cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 180 gr butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F or 180ºC. Sieve the flour, mix with the baking powder and the salt, set aside.
  2. In the medium speed of an electric mixer cream the butter, add the sugar and keep beating until fluffy. Add the egg one at the time, beating well after each addition. At this point stop using the electric mixer and using a spatula or a whisk add the dry ingredients alternating with the milk and the vanilla extract, start and finish with flour.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and using 2 tablespoons drop the mixture in the baking papers. Take to the oven for approximately 30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Leave to cool on a wire rack.


Muffins de San Valentín

Hay pocas cosas que dicen te quiero y me preocupo por vos como la comida. Estos muffins con chispas de chocolate son ideales para San Valentin. Se les pueden poner cartitas con mensajes como en algunas de las fotos o envolverlos en una linda bolsa. Con esta receta se obtienen 24 muffins. Aprovechen esta fecha para decirle a alguien que lo quieren y que mejor manera que cocinarles algo especial!


  • 2  ¾ tazas harina
  • 1 cda polvo de hornear
  • 1 cta sal
  • 2 tazas azúcar
  • 4 huevos (temperatura ambiente)
  • 180 gr manteca
  • 1 taza leche
  • 1 cta extracto de vainilla
  • 2 tazas chispas de chocolate
  1. Precalentar el horno a 350 grados F o 180ºC. Cernir la harina, mezclar con el polvo de hornear y sal, dejar a un lado.
  2. En la velocidad media de la batidora eléctrica blanquear la manteca, agregar el azúcar y seguir batiendo hasta qe esté cremoso. Agregar los huevos de a uno batiendo bien luego de cada incorporación. En este punto dejar de usar la batidora eléctrica y continuar con una espátula o un batidor manual. Agregar los ingredientes secos alternando con la leche y el extracto de vainilla, empezar y terminar con harina.
  3. Agregar las chispas de chocolate y utiizando 2 cucharas colocar la mezcla en los papeles para hornear. Llevar al horno por aproximadamente 30 minutos o hasta que un tester para tortas salga limpio. Dejar enfriar en una rejilla.
